Design Research for Change Showcase 2019

Calling All Next Generation Design Researchers

Showcasing the Talent of the UK’s Next Generation Design Researchers

Following on from the hugely successful Design Research for Change Showcase at London Design Fair (LDF) in 2018, we will again this year exhibit the very best UK-based design research at LDF in September 2019. This year the focus is on showcasing the amazing talent amongst the next generation of design researchers across the length and breadth of the UK.

For the Design Research for Change Showcase 2019, we are looking for design-led projects where design has played a leading role in the research undertaken or where design methods and tools have played an integral part in the research.

We wish to showcase a wide range of designed outputs (e.g. artefacts, prototypes, models, tools, work in progress, services, experiences, and interactions) from any design discipline be that product, graphic, fashion, textiles, illustration, games, architecture, service design and others.

There may be some funding available for successful Showcase 2019 projects to help cover costs associated with printing, materials, production of models, etc.

The Design Research for Change Showcase 2019 will celebrate and disseminate the value of design research for change to the academic community, industry, government bodies, and wider UK society.

The Design Research for Change Showcase 2019 will be held at the London Design Fair, Old Truman Brewery, London from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 September 2019.
