[3elfast]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Does Design Care\u2026?<\/em> is one of the initiatives of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designresearchforchange.co.uk\/\"><em>Design Research for Change<\/em><\/a> programme delivered under the AHRC Funded Design Priority Area Leadership Fellow, Professor Paul Rodgers (<a href=\"https:\/\/gtr.ukri.org\/projects?ref=AH%2FP013619%2F1\">AH\/P013619\/1<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/gtr.ukri.org\/projects?ref=AH%2FP013619%2F2\">AH\/P013619\/2<\/a>). This programme, which includes the ongoing Does Design Care\u2026? series of events aims to <em>\u201cachieve real and long-lasting transformation and impact, to enact alternative, positive, and help achieve real developments within the culture of design research that will equip it for the challenges of the future\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Does Design Care\u2026?<\/em> is an international workshop series of design thinking, making, and acting that runs irregularly every couple of years. <em>Does Design Care\u2026?<\/em> workshops provide a positive space for all to explore different ways to conceptualise, provoke, contest and disrupt care, and serve as a venue for synthesising future visions of care. We do not limit interpretations, boundaries, and sectors when we use the word \u2018care\u2019. Each <em>Does Design Care\u2026?<\/em> workshop is highly interactive with participants producing a range of outputs including journal and book publications, working papers, and other creative outputs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.designresearchforchange.co.uk\/index.php\/workshop-does-design-care\/\">Does Design Care\u2026? [1]<\/a> took place in <a href=\"https:\/\/imagination.lancaster.ac.uk\/\">Imagination Lancaster,<\/a> in 2017, and led to multi-authored research outputs including (1). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.academia.edu\/34706428\/Does_Design_Care_\"><em>Does Design Care\u2026? An international workshop of Design Thought and Action<\/em><\/a> (2). The <em>Lancaster Care Charter<\/em>, which was published in Design Issues (Vol. 35, No. 1) <a href=\"https:\/\/direct.mit.edu\/desi\/article\/35\/1\/73\/69349\/The-Lancaster-Care-Charter\">doi: 10.1162\/desi_a_00522<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.designresearchforchange.co.uk\/index.php\/does-design-care-2\/\">Does Design Care\u2026? [2]<\/a> took place in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chiba-u.ac.jp\/e\/\">Chiba University, Japan<\/a>, in 2019, which led to several multi authored outputs which stimulated further debate around care. These included; (1). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designresearchforchange.co.uk\/index.php\/an-illustrated-a-to-z-for-the-design-of-care-book\/\"><em>An Illustrated A to Z for the Design of Care Book<\/em><\/a><em>,<\/em> (2). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.designresearchforchange.co.uk\/index.php\/the-chiba-care-protocol\/\">The Chiba Care Protocol<\/a>, (3).
